1 Corinthians 13:4-8

A while ago I saw a post about love. The post asked to write the definition of love in your own words.

This is what I wrote:

Love is kind. Love is treating the other person how they want to be treated not how you would want to be treated. Love is trust. Love is never doubting the other person and believing them and in them. Love is accepting and respecting each other and each other's boundaries. Love is when you're there even when you're being pushed away. Love is being genuine, honest and caring.

I also want to add that love is not only being lovey duvey. It is also being strong for each other. It is supporting each other. Trusting one another. Love is when you're completely yourself. Love is holding you when you are too vulnerable, too weak and too emotional.

Love is more than just a word.
