Be Brave...

We come across situations, across people who try to convince us to do things we would not normally do. Things that are against our principles and our values. They may be doing it intentionally or maybe they do not.

Sometimes we lean in, not aware that we're being manipulated. Not aware that we're being taken advantage of. Having said that, we eventually realize what's happening to us. We realize that we have compromised ourselves for the sake of a job a friendship, a relationship or something that we truly care about and cannot let go. We then want to put an end to it. We want it to stop. It requires a lot of strength and bravery to say no. To stand up for ourselves and say no. To stand up for what we believe in, to stand up for values and our principles. To stand up for ourselves.

It takes a lot of guts to say no.

It's okay if you don't see it instantly. It's okay if you fall for it. Be proud that you've seen it. Be proud that you were brave enough to say no and stand up for yourself.
