Staying Positive...

All through out 2020 we were encouraged to stay positive.
We're 1 month into 2021 We're still encouraged to stay positive.
Through any difficult times we are told to stay positive, we are told to look at the full half of the cup.
It is extraordinary that we always try to move forward through any hardships,that we try to push through.
Staying positive all the time can be exhausting. Instead of dealing with how we feel on the inside, we push it aside under "being positive". We repeatedly do that until it builds up on the inside until we hit a breaking point.
Sometimes we need to face our troubles. Sometimes it is okay to see the empty half. Sometimes it is okay to be upset for your failures and for your losses. Sometimes it is okay to cry. Sometimes it is okay to be angry.
The trick is, don't stay in the dark place for too long. While you're processing, do something you like: read, paint, draw, write, dance it out...whatever makes your heart feel content.
