ربنا يفرح قلبك""May The Lord bring Joy to your heart"

I hear this sentence from a someone I know every single time I see him. For the longest, I never really paid much attention to it. He was saying it to everyone he sees, he most likely doesn't even mean it. Until two days ago, I saw him for the first time in almost a year. I said hello and he said hello and then he proceeded to say ""ربنا يفرح قلبك" "May The Lord bring Joy to your heart". Only then, it hit me. All I could think of was; how wonderful that small prayer was. So many of us suffer in silence, so many miss being joyful and happy and are caught up in their everyday lives. So many of us have a happy face on but a sad story inside of them. I have always underestimated that sentence when he said it to me but this time it hit differently. Maybe because of all the pain and the sadness the world has suffered lately. Maybe because it has been a while since I felt Joyful. Maybe because I truly needed him to mean those words and hoped they would reach Him up there and hoped that he would be listening. They're eight words...but powerful eight words once you put them together.

May The Lord bring you all joy to your hearts...always
